Today was A DAY—500 hundred meals to families in need. We executed what will be the first of many large scale distributions. Restaurants across Westchester joined us to meet this need, it was amazing to get to this point.

“People have to eat,” Andrés said at a news preview of the community kitchens. “Not everybody is going to be able to go to the supermarket. We have areas in America that are food deserts. We have millions of Americans that, if you go to their kitchens, their kitchens are empty. Not everybody has money to fill up for a month. That’s the reality. What are we going to do?”

We are feeding our homeless neighbors daily, and we’ve partnered with local restaurants to do a community distribution. We’re committed to providing meals even though the funds aren’t coming through fast enough. We need you to step up and make a donation, or help us find donors TODAY! Call the County Executive, call your local senator. Ask them to use emergency relief funds to help restaurants provide relief meals. There is a need, and we’ve never been more ready to help.
